CHILDREN INITIATION CLASSES

Horse riding is a sport that not only offers physical benefits but also gives you fundamental values: respect for animals, contact with nature, self-control, self-esteem, empathy and companionship. RESPECT FOR ANIMALS
Respect and love for animals is the basic pillar of our school. Knowing how to take care of them and interact with them is essential to be able to enjoy their company and sport.
POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT
Positive reinforcement helps our students improve their self-esteem and confidence, while staying motivated to evolve in their learning.
THEORETICAL LEARNING
Adapting to each age and level we promote a global education. We complement the practical classes with management and theory, which allow us to understand the concepts from the beginning of the training to the most advanced and specialized levels.
WHY ROSPER?
Rosper was born in 1999 as a result of the family’s illusion to create quality facilities in a special environment where we can share our passion for horses. We work to spread the benefits of the connection between animals and people of all ages, and we love to teach classes in which students enjoy learning. WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN CLASSES?
The Initiation School goes from Galope 1 to Galope 4.
They will evolve in their coordination and agility when walking, trotting and cantering, and they will be able to communicate with them in a faster and more precise way.
At the end of the cycle, you will be able to do short jumping courses at a height of 0.60m to 0.80m.
We also work off the track, with small cross and Trec exercises.
We take advantage of some classes to go out into the field and learn how horses respond and react outside the facilities.
Not everything is riding, the theoretical and driving classes allow us to understand the why of many things!
WHAT ARE THE CLASSES LIKE?
HORSE OR PONY?
To advance autonomously, animals adapted to their capacities are needed. In the initiation classes for children of our equestrian club in Vilanova we work with ponies of different heights and from the age of 12 we introduce the horses. Age is only approximate and depends on each case.
CLEANING AND PREPARATION
The classes are 1 hour long and in the first sessions we teach how to relate and prepare your pony. When you gain confidence you can come earlier to enjoy their care and spend more time riding. Younger children may need your help … teamwork!
RIDING IN THE ARENA
In the arena we will start learning dynamically to direct our pony and accompany him in the 3 gaits. As we progress, we will complicate the exercises to achieve more and more confidence, agility and precision.
UNTACKING AND CLEANING
When we finish riding, we will unpack and leave everything in order in the storage room. Depending on the weather, we will brush or shower our horse, to leave it clean and ready to return to its paddock. A grazing stop along the way is always welcome.

OUR TEAM
VICKY
Manages the centre and coordinates the team. She was trained as a Veterinarian at the UAB and at the Equine Clinic at the UAX, Madrid while studying a Degree in Horsemanship.
RUTH
Ruth has been coordinating the Riding School since 2016. She studied as an Equestrian Technician with a wide professional experience and is very charismatic.
SASHA
Sasha is an instructor at the Initiation School and, in addition, is in charge of routes, birthdays and campuses. She has been trained at home since she was little, currently she has an initial degree in Horse Riding and continues to study.
CHARO
Charo has been with us for 4 years. She takes care of the office, the schedule, attending the office, etc. She is the first person who will receive you to answer your questions.
ANDRIY
Andriy has been with us for more than 15 years, in addition to tending the stables, he is a handyman who fixes everything that horses are capable of breaking.
MARIA
María is part of the family, extremely careful she is in charge of managing the tack rooms, working horses on the ground and checking that the shoeing of all the horses are up to date.
MARIIA
Mariia keeps the facilities clean and tidy so that everyone can use them comfortably.
KARIM
Karim has been working with us for 20 years. Attentive and careful, he not only takes care of the stables, but he has experience giving medications, performing cures, bandages, etc.
JEFITA
The youngsters of the house make sure that all the horses have sufficient carrots at all times.
